XA series is the one of the very few series of smartphones that Sony still continues to make. It is not even a year since the last generation Sony Xperia XA 2 and XA 2 Ultra was released and we have seen leaks about the Sony Xperia XA3 from the Eurasian certification council which means the phone is entering the Eurasian market very soon.
Sony, the Japanese company was once the market leader at the beginning of the smartphone era. They had the best displays in the smartphone market and the best audio performance with dedicated DAC and trademark Walkman players.
But Sony didn’t cope up with the market trend nor with the pricing which led to the downfall of the company. After some years smartphone division had a new refresh and Sony Xperia XA 3 is a part of it. Let us see the leaks about it in detail.
Eurasian commission certification
Sony Xperia XZ2 is the flagship line-up of Sony and Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium being the best of it. Sony is taking the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium to new markets every month and this time it is Eurasia. But what is more surprising is they have planned to introduce yet another device with the flagship.
Eurasian Commission is the body that governs and certifies electronic devices in the countries Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. They recently got the Sony phones certified and along with Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium certification was another device from Sony. Though not any hardware specification or picture was available the device number was available in it. Model name of the new device ‘H4413’.
Following track records, the model number strongly indicates to a phone from the Sony Xperia XA family but not any existing models. Sony’s device model names go this way – H6xxx for XZ series and H4xxx for XA series. This means a new Sony Xperia XA3 device either the regular or Ultra is about to surface in Eurasia this month or early next month.
Sony Xperia XA3
It is a little over 7 months since the previous Xperia XA phones launched at CES 2018 and we already see the next gen of them. We think maybe Sony is planning to release a special version of XA series probably Sony Xperia XA3 Premium or the Sony Xperia XA2 Premium even which is not part of the existing lineup. There is a good chance the device first comes to light on IFA 2018 which is due August 30th.
Sony Xperia XA3 Specs
As far the spec goes, backing the mid-range nature of the XA series we expect the upcoming smartphone to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 or at least a 636 with 4 Gb of RAM and 32 Gb of internal storage and must also have 64 GB option. The battery should be around 3500 mAh.
This device might be the first mid-range smartphone from Sony to have a dual camera to its back. The screen is not expected to be tall like all other smartphone are in 2018 as Sony still sticks to the traditional 16:9 ratio for its flagship smartphones.
