Recently, Facebook did announce the latest launch of a new cloud gaming initiative that will be up and running to feature several cloud-streamed video games. You must know that these features will be available in the Facebook app as well as its browser.
But it is notable that the features will not allow the users to use it on iOS. It is essential for any and every user to get these free-to-play mobile video games on the Facebook app.
Well, it is not similar to what most other cloud gaming competitors have been doing for a lot of reasons. The major difference is that Facebook will not be able to spin out its own service for the game titles that are brought to the cloud.
You must know that the official blog post of Jason Rubin who happens to be the VP of Facebook reveals it. The blog post reads, “All cloud-streamed games are playable in the same way you play games now on Facebook — whether it’s in our Gaming tab or from News Feed.”
It also adds, “No special hardware or controllers needed; your hands are the controller since we’re launching with native mobile games. And you can play these games with a mouse and keyboard on a desktop.”
During the beta period for the new cloud gaming initiative, some of the initial offerings include Asphalt 9: Legends, WWE Supercard, Mobile Legends: Adventure, Solitaire: Arthur’s Tale, and PGA Tour Golf Shootout.
Jason Rubin also includes in his blog post, “Access to cloud games on Facebook will roll out in the US, initially available across California, Texas and Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states including, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and West Virginia,” The blog post continues to read.
“We’ll expand regional access in the coming months as we scale the infrastructure needed to roll out cloud gaming across the US.”
