It is a hidden place where dark magic can be practiced away from the prying eyes of professors. Here is all the information you need to find the Under-croft and get back there in Hogwarts Legacy.
Where To Look For Under-croft:
As you explore Hogwarts Castle, you would then reveal various secret rooms like the Hall of Herodiana which is kept secret behind such a hidden button, or the Werewolf Tapestry room. Even though the Undercroft is a secret, it is very easy to find. However, you won’t be able to go in until Sebastian tells you to.
During the campaign, Sebastian will give you a mission where you meet him at the entrance to the Under-croft and he tells you how to get inside. You would also gain knowledge the Confringo spell during this mission.
When you find out about the Undercroft, you’ll be told to keep it a secret, but you’ll always be able to go back there. If you don’t know where it is, go to the castle’s Astronomy Wing and find the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom Floo Flame. This will put you at the top of the stairs right outside the classroom.
Go down the stairs as well as turn around from where you spawn. Go down the small path next to the stairs that lead under where you spawned. Under the stairs, you’ll find the strange clock from Sebastian’s quest.
It looks like the moon. You can use it at any time to get into the Under-croft. You will also go back to the Under-croft after doing a fair number of Sebastian’s quests as you try to figure out how to get rid of Anne’s curse.
Treasure in the Under-croft?
Once you’re in the Under-croft, you could really look through the chests while Sebastian talks. Then, you can talk to Sebastian, who asks you not to tell anyone about the Under-croft or where it is. He also says that it is a good place to practice spells that are against the rules, like the Confringo Blasting Curse, which he will teach you.
