Story
Most people are not aware when using Google search, there every move is being tracked and saved. Even once users leave the site, the spying continues. When using mobile, your every location is stored by towers that may resemble a tree. This invasion of privacy is coming to an end if Trustnav’s new search engine service, “SafeSearch” grows further in popularity.
This is not Cardi B’s latest, grammy-winning album being discussed. This ‘invasion of privacy” i different. However, it’s amazing that the world knows less about what Google’s doing than Cardi B, likely.
The search giant uses spy technology called ‘Cookies,’ on every user that joins there website. All the services from gmail to documents, keeps a log of what users do and where they are located when they do it.
Google describes these cookies a “a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. It helps the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and other settings.” on there privacy policy page (read here). The ‘other settings’ phrase means limitless opportunities for the company.
Facebook uses similar strategies to capitalize off user of their website. They too store such user habits and actions for capitalistic gain. The powerhouse site’s founder ws busted just few years back in a scandal that involved the leaking of hundreds of millions of users information. On top of this, the website reportedly had over 1 billion fake accounts, which boosted the value of advertising to clients. Zuckerberg denied all allegations but analysts think it’s all a sham. The Facebook founder was even busted for laughing t the idea people trust him with their information. According to Esquire, he called users “Dumb f–ks” in a private chat with a friend:
Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard
Zuck: Just ask.
Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Redacted Friend’s Name]: What? How’d you manage that one?
Zuck: People just submitted it.
Zuck: I don’t know why.
Zuck: They “trust me”
Zuck: Dumb fucks.
While this was years ago in Zuckerberg’s defense, humans are creatures of habit. He did not start the company on a foundation which honored protecting user information. Therefore, can he really have curved his views and the website’s core values?
Trustnav Safesearch is different however. It is founded on the principals that Zuckerberg lacked. Perhaps the company was inspired by the demand for a ‘fix’ to the situation. What is clear, the “Safesearch’ anti-invasion-of-privacy addon feature for browser keeps Users information private. Not only this, the company has also expanded into offering other addon features such as antivirus solutions and adblocker technology.
Already popular in various countries, the TrustNav.com website is closing in on the top 3000 most popular websites in the world. This is a huge accomplishment considering over 100 million websites get ranked by Alexa. If it does somehow reach the #1 rank, which is held by search giant Google, it could revolutionize the world today.
The google search engine alternative service, adblocker, and antivirus are available today at TrustNav.com for free. The company’s profits will likely be much less than its rival. However, analysts speculate it can still thrive with the supports of sponsor’s responsibility placed ads in search results.
