Nokia fans, you’ve a reason to rejoice! It seems that highly anticipated Nokia 8 launch date is almost here and company’s first flagship smartphone after its transformation into HMD Global is just around the corner.

If latest report from German website WinFuture is true, Nokia 8 is going to be launched on July 31. Also leaked in that report are features, price, color options and some other details related to device, most of which confirm to what we already know.

Fresh Info

First of all let’s take a look on fresh information which has come out in this leak. The WinFuture report suggests that initially Nokia 8 will be launched with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Other rumored versions (the device was also expected to come with 6GB and 8GB RAM options) may be launched later. And at the time of launch it’ll be Nokia 8 will come in 4 different color options: Steel, Blue, Gold-Copper and Gold-Blue. However, the options may be given some fancy names at the time of launch to entice the crowd.

Finally, the last piece of fresh info is about pricing. The smartphone’s price expected in WinFuture report is € 589, which translates to $675 (₹ 43,433.00). This is slightly less than the $699 price that was leaked last time, which translates to ₹ 44,977. In any case now this seems almost confirmed that the device will be priced around 650 USD or 40,000 INR. While this price is not as much as that of current Samsung and Apple flagships, it’s comfortably a premium price tag. The great thing, however, is that this tag seems very justified when we look at the specs that’re expected to be included in this flagship smartphone.

What We Already Know

Based on our account of previous leaks, Nokia 8 will come with a 5.3-inches large Full-HD edge-to-edge display, Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB RAM, 13mp primary camera with dual-lens configuration and a premium design crafted out of metal and glass. The smartphone is also likely to sport an iris scanner and USB Type-C port.

When we look at these specs and the image of device that leaked in form of promotional material sometime ago (given above), the smartphone seems priced rightly. Therefore, it’ll be interesting to see how it performs in market post launch. I think it should be successful if made available in a timely manner.
