Where The Wolf Was Caught:
Soon after you start Chapter 3, you’ll find the dog in the trap. When you leave the Village Chief’s Manor, turn to the right. As you get closer to this spot, you’ll hear a soft whining.
There, you’ll discover a wolf with portion of its leg caught in a bear trap. The infected villagers have put these traps all over the map to stop Leon from running away. These traps are difficult to deal with, as well as the wolf is having a hard time with them, too.
Will You Help Save The Dog?
We suggest that you go out of your way to help the wolf get out of the trap. You just have to get close to the wolf and use the bear trap.
There is a short animation of Leon bending down to break the bear trap, and the wolf can pull the leg out and run away. The wolf is happy to see Leon and thanks him for helping.
When You Rescue The Wolf, What Will Happen?
Helping this wolf is a good idea because it can help you later on in the game. When you go to the quarry, you’ll meet a boss, a big great big that Leon has to fight.
Partway through this fight, the wolf shows up as well as attacks the giant, which helps Leon in this fight. When the fight is over, the wolf would then show up on the rocks, wagging its tail with joy. It’s the same one Leon freed from the trap.
