In Atomic Heart, you will fight against many different kinds of robots. Some of them are easy to beat, but others will give you a hard time. The developers were nice enough to give you a variety of weapons as well as other ways to fight robots.
But what really gets some players confused in Atomic Heart is how to use cartridges. Since the game doesn’t tell you how to use them properly, we’ll go ahead and clarify it in our guide.
How To Make Cartridges And Equip Them:
You will need to unlock the NORA station before you can use cartridges. You will eventually run into one in the early parts of the game, and the first time you do, it will give you a hard time. But once you unlock the station, you’ll be able to find it in different places.
You can do a lot of things with NORA, like customize weapons. You don’t have to worry about unlocking the Slot Cartridge attachment because it comes with every weapon. But you’ll have to make one of the Ice, Electric, or Fire cartridges that are in the game.
You can only make each of the three cartridges once you have the recipe for it. You won’t be able to find them at the beginning of the game, but after making a little progress, you’ll get one of the recipes. Make sure to keep opening all the big chests you find, because that’s where the recipes are hidden.
There Are 3 Type Of Cartridges:
There are three kinds of cartridges: fire, electric, & ice. Each one is good for a different kind of enemy. For example, electricity is usually bad for robots, while fire is good against mutants, sprouts, as well as other similar things. To make cartridges, you need to have discovered the recipes for them in large chests all over the open-world game.

If You Already Discovered Recipe For The Cartridge You Can Make It At Nora:
Once you find the recipe for the cartridge, you can make it at NORA. Then, go to your weapon wheel & click the icon in the middle of the bottom. Here, you can choose any cartridge you want for the gun, as long as you made it yourself.
Then, you can use the weapon to hurt your enemies with elemental damage. Make sure to use them on enemies who are weak to a certain element. If you don’t, you’ll just waste your resources.
How To Get More Weapons In The Game Atomic Heart:
In Atomic Heart, there are two ways to get more weapons.
- Most of the time, you can discover the Weapon Crafting Recipes in chests.
- Find the actual Weapon in the world.
In the game, dropped weapons are rare. You’re more likely to find the recipe for making a weapon than the weapon itself. Be careful not to dismantle a Weapon for which you don’t have the Crafting Recipe. You won’t be capable of recovering it until you discover the Crafting Recipe.
