BlackBerry Krypton Allegedly Renamed to BlackBerry Motion, Front Image Leaked

  • BlackBerry Motion pictures leaked
  • Rumors suggest that it’s Krypton which has been renamed to Motion
  • The smartphone may be launched by TCL very soon.

An year later, BlackBerry is back again. This time with an all-touchscreen affair. We’re talking about the BlackBerry Krypton that was leaked in August. Now a new leak from well-known tipster Evan Blass suggests that Krypton has instead been renamed to BlackBerry Motion (which is a much better naming choice in my opinion). Blass also tweeted an image showing the front of device, and you can see his tweet below:

However, the Motion doesn’t move anywhere. Unlike its predecessor KeyOne, it’s a device with no qwerty keypad and no slider. It’s a normal touchscreen smartphone, just as smartphones are supposed to be. The device may be released by TCL Corporation in some time.

In case you don’t know, TCL has got the licensing agreement with BlackBerry to make smartphones under the BlackBerry brand name. BlackBerry has detached itself from the hardware side of devices completely as the company tries to build a business by focusing on software and security alone. TCL, on the other hand, wants to capitalize on the BlackBerry brand to win some business customers.

This is the same company which manufactures smartphones under Alcatel OneTouch brand too. With BlackBerry motion, both BB and TCL will try to prove to business users that KeyOne was not just a one single product that they can make, and they’re committed to building a portfolio of robust products.

However, slightly disappointing part of this Motion smartphone is that it’s rumored to come with Snapdragon 625 processor and 4GB RAM. While 4GB RAM is good, it’d have been better if there would’ve been something else instead of Snapdragon 625. The screen is likely to have Full HD resolution, and also be bigger than it was in KeyOne, thanks to the absence of a physical keyboard.
