Assetto Corsa license reaches 100 million euros in turnover.
The Kunos-Simulazioni developers and the Digital Bros group claim to be super happy to unveil today the record turnover of 100 million euros obtained with the Assetto Corsa license, all platforms combined. Class in Dallas?
If you’ve filed the asphalt on this high-end simulation, you know the real ones love it and swear by it.
Therefore, it is not surprising to note that since its release in 2013 (early access), the most fashionable simulation in terms of automotive gaming has convinced a large number of players over the years, as confirmed by its developer.
Remember that originally, the title is also intended for real racing drivers with a game engine designed for car simulation. After that, it was “redesigned” for video games to make all the R&D profitable.
Indeed, the racing simulation title saw its full game launch in December 2014. In August 2016, Assetto Corsa reached a whole new audience with a release on PS4 and Xbox One (published by 505 Games), and Digital Bros purchased Kunos-Simulazioni in 2017.
High level competizione:
License growth has continued, with Assetto Corsa Competizione’s launch on Xbox One and PS4 in 2020. The title will be available on the next-next consoles in 2021.
But this is not all, since, to consolidate Assetto Corsa’s development in eSports, the company appointed Valerio Piersanti in December 2020.
Valerio Piersanti previously worked at Ferrari (sorry PEU, folks), where he held the Business Development Manager position. Piersanti serves as Vice President of Licensing and Partnerships of Kunos-Simulazioni for Assetto Corsa. And we listen to him because he has things to say:
I am delighted to take on this challenge and join the organization of the Digital Bros. I want to express my gratitude, especially to the Galante brothers, for the trust they have placed in me “, said Valerio Piersanti.”
Assetto Corsa is a brand that I have had the privilege of following with Marco Massarutto since his beginnings until the collaboration set up with Ferrari.
The objective is to fully exploit the potential it has always shown and consolidate its positioning and its partnerships in a rapidly changing context. Stay tuned for the next update.
