Like every year, Apple takes advantage of the month of June to organize its high mass for developers, the WWDC. This year, it will open its doors on Monday, June 7 and may have some surprises in store. We expect macOS 12, iOS 15, and iPadOS 15 to be released, but that’s not all. Here are all the novelties likely to be presented.
The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is an annual show hosted by the Bitten Apple in California, USA, It is aimed at developers on macOS, iPadOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS. This 2021 edition of WWDC will be held from June 7 to 11, 2021, online only due to health restrictions. Several new features are expected like iOS 15, macOS 12 and why by Macbooks Pro powered by the M1X chip? We take stock in this article.
Macbooks Apple M1X
Wedbush analysts say this conference could be an opportunity for Apple to unveil its new MacBook Pro. These would be the 14 and 16-inch models both equipped with the Apple Silicon M1X or M2 chip which has more CPU and GPU cores.
In addition to a redesign of their design, they could be composed of a mini-LED screen and a more complete connection (SD reader, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI port). Note that the Cupertino company usually focuses on its software innovations during WWDC. But she has already taken the opportunity to present new products in the past. Which leaves a little hope.
iOS 15, the new operating system for the iPhone, will likely be presented tonight. According to Bloomberg, it is on the side of notifications that the system will notably evolve. They could be calibrated according to the different times of the day (on the road, in the office, in bed).
In particular, it would be possible to configure automatic responses. A notable evolution is also expected in the iMessages application which would become more social. This in order to compete with WhatsApp and Messenger. Obviously, other novelties are to be expected. New widgets could for example land on the lock screen. A new feature could also make it possible to spot applications that collect personal information discreetly via trackers.
Still according to Bloomberg, iPadOS 15 will also be in the game during WWDC 2021. Multitasking would notably be improved so that users can manage a greater number of applications simultaneously. An evolution that would be welcome because this is where the shoe pinches in the current version of iPadOS. In addition, the home screen could be redesigned so that you can include your widgets as you see fit.
macOS Big Sur was unveiled during the 2020 edition of WWDC. His successor will therefore probably be presented this evening. It could be named Mammoth or Monterey, after the last rumors of the hallway. New features are obviously expected, but so far no information has reached our ears. We will therefore know more shortly.

watchOS 8, tvOS 15
Note that the conference could also include the presentation of watchOS 8, the new operating system for Apple Watch. This could include new health-related functionalities. Finally, the new Apple TV operating system, tvOS 15, is also expected. This could in particular be more oriented towards the practice of video games.
