Will iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max launch in September?

Now that iOS 16 is available in beta for developers, and its new features have been presented to the general public, Apple fans are waiting for September, during which Apple should normally unveil its new iPhone 14 series. All sources agree that this year, Apple will present an iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Max (with the same characteristics, but an XXL screen), an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

But plenty of rumors have also swirled around, suggesting there’s a risk that at least one model could arrive late. And in a recent tweet, the COE of DSSC, analyst Ross Young, indicates that the shipments of the screens intended for the iPhone 14 Max and the iPhone 14 Pro Max (so, the XXL screens) are indeed behind schedule.

“Looks like the iPhone 14 Max and Pro Max panel shipments are a month behind the 14 and 14 Pro. Panel shipments for larger models begin in July versus June for smaller models”the tweet read.

So, could this delay in the arrival of screens affect Apple’s calendar? For the moment, Ross Young reassures Apple fans. According to him, at this stage, he does not expect there to be any delay to launch.

iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max: two highly anticipated models?

In any case, the two models mentioned in Ross Young’s tweet are probably highly anticipated. As mentioned above, the iPhone 14 Max should have the same characteristics as the iPhone 14, but with a larger screen.

And this new intermediate format should interest a lot of people, since it will allow you to have a larger screen without having to buy the most expensive iPhone in the series. Its price could be positioned between that of an iPhone 14 and that of an iPhone 14 Pro.

As for the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, these should concentrate the most interesting novelties of the series. On the design side, it is rumored that on these Pro models, Apple would abandon the notch and place the front sensors (the camera and Face ID sensor) on a bubble and a pierced pill on the screen.

And that’s not all. Indeed, Apple would also equip the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with a 48-megapixel main sensor on the back.

It is even rumored that Apple could reserve the new A16 Bionic chip for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 max would be satisfied with the old A15 chip which is used by the iPhone 13 series.

But of course, for the moment, this information is still to be considered with caution since it does not come from official sources.

Is Apple preparing a 14-inch iPad Pro?

Still on future Apple products, in another tweet, Ross Young mentioned the possibility of Apple launching an iPad Pro with a larger 14-inch screen next year.

“Confirmed that iPad Pro 14.1″ is in development with our supply chain sources. It will have MiniLEDs and ProMotion. Not sure when, but early 2023 may be more likely”we read in this tweet.

The information is also corroborated by “Majin Bu”, another source of leaks which is fairly regularly relayed by the media.

“According to my resource, Apple is developing a new 14.1-inch iPad M2 with 512GB and 16GB base memory. The new M2 line should include a new 11-inch model with no major changes, a new 12.9 model with reduced borders, and this new iPad 14.1 #Apple #AppleRumor”says its publication.
