This Thursday, September 15, 2022, the Ministry of Higher Education announced the arrival of a new help platform for Masters!
Faced with the great difficulty of finding a master’s degree at a university, the Ministry of Education has decided to set up a help platform to find it more easily. MCE TV tells you everything from A to Z.
A very difficult start to the 2022 school year
In recent years, students have suffered a lot! It all started with the disruption of the Parcoursup platform, which upset the projects of some students.
Then, the covid pointed the tip of its nose, to change the whole routine of young people. From now on, nothing goes with the teacher shortage! Minister Pap Ndiaye therefore called on contract workers to keep his promise “a teacher in front of each class in all schools in France”.
“It is true that we use a significant proportion of contract teachers. In Créteil, contract teachers will have two days of training on their discipline and then two days of training on their rights. And their homework to know how to behave in front of the students”.
And that’s not all ! In university, young people have a hard time finding a master’s degree… It’s no joke! There are many places unavailable. So few young people have the chance to continue their studies.
Frédérique Vidal therefore promised to create more than 3,000 places for students…. So it’s a case to follow… In the meantime, the Ministry of Higher Education has had another idea…
That of set up a national application aid in the first year of a master’s degree. It should therefore make its appearance in February 2023. This was announced by Minister Sylvie Retailleau during her first back-to-school press conference.
But then what is the goal? Just solved the problem of every university that sees its students without a master’s degree.

A new university support platform
This platform is therefore tvery useful for young people in universitye. The latter will be able, from the month of March, to post a single file which will allow them to apply for different masters.
And the universities will therefore be able to look at the requests from April until mid-June. Isn’t that great news! Students will therefore see if their proposal is accepted or refused.
They won’t lose no more time to wonder about the subject. Thus, they will only be able to choose one master. This platform has nothing to do with Parcoursup! And for good reason ! It manages the wishes for admission to higher education for final year students.
This is what the ministry then underlines: it will not serve as a decision support tool. The platform will not select the students and they will be the ones who will be at the center of the procedure”
This is an initiative that seems to have unanimous support. Especially from side of the 1st student union in France. Students will therefore be able to put stress and anxiety aside.
However, there are points that are debated, such as the non-possibility of giving a second chance to young people who have not found a master’s degree!
