Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: The six invitational 2021 event is postponed.

The 2021 edition of the Six Invitational, the biggest tournament in the competitive scene of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, will not take place as planned from February 9 to 21.

Ubisoft had no choice but to postpone the event due to French borders’ closure to travelers from a non-European country.

More than just a tournament, the Six Invitational is also an opportunity to discover the program of future Rainbow Six Siege novelties. For this 2021 edition, Ubisoft intended to bring together the twenty best teams in the world in Paris for a physical event without an audience and in compliance with health measures.

The editor is now working “to find the best possible solutions” and will share “soon more details on the impact of this decision for the calendar of the season 2021”. For now, the Six Invitational 2021 is “postponed to a later date,” without further details.

Ubisoft, alongside our partner Live Nation, has worked tirelessly to find solutions to organize the physical edition of the Six Invitational 2021 in Paris in February.

“However, it was recently agreed that eSports events in LAN are no longer possible in the current context, despite the strict sanitary measures in place. Therefore, we have no choice but to postpone the Six Invitational 2021 to a later date.” – Ubisoft press release.

“We know fans are eagerly awaiting the developers’ presentation of the upcoming changes in Rainbow Six Siege. Then the competition itself. We work hand in hand with the teams to find the best possible solutions. We will have more soon.” – Ubisoft press release. Stay tuned for the next update.
