2021 has been a pivotal year for Samsung, as the Korean giant finally sees its sales of folding smartphones take off, thanks to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. But for Samsung, the use of foldable screens will not be limited to mobile.
Samsung also wants to offer foldable screens for computers. Previously, it had already given an overview of the appearance that a foldable screen smartphone could have on the Samsung Display site.

And at CES in Las Vegas, the group once again made the talk of its screens. Indeed, taking advantage of his presence at the show, he exhibited some prototypes, including that of a computer with a foldable screen.
According to the Sammobile site, among these prototypes there would be a concept called Samsung Flex Note. In essence, it is a laptop with a foldable screen. The user could use this device as a 13 inch laptop, or as a 17 inch screen.
But for the moment, it is only a concept and not a product whose release is scheduled.

Note that there are already PCs with foldable screens on the market, such as the ThinkPad X1 Fold launched by Lenovo at the end of 2020. And this year, we should see more models of this kind on the market.
On the occasion of CES 2022, ASUS has just presented the “Zenbook 17 Fold OLED”. It is a laptop with a foldable screen which, like the Samsung concept, can be used as a classic laptop (with a touch keyboard) or as an XXL screen (with an external keyboard).
For its part, Intel anticipates the arrival of many other models
In addition, this year, we should see many other models on the market. Indeed, Intel, for its part, has just presented a new update of its “Intel Evo” certification for computer manufacturers.
And for this third generation, the American company has considered computers with foldable screens, which means that thanks to them, it could be easier for manufacturers to develop this type of computer.
