Rumor’s about the smartphone began to circulate in early January, but it had been a long time coming, with the Chinese brand revealing the technology at MWC 2022. Actually, the first signs that we’ll be getting a massive 240W of rapid charging capability came in 2021, when a 240W emblem debuted via the Certified USB branding program.
The Realme GT Neo 5 is now available, at least in China, & comes in two variants. One has the aforementioned record-breaking 240W wired rapid charging technology, while the other has a more “modest” 150W charge with a larger battery.

In terms of battery capacity, you’ll find a 4,600mAh unit here. Furthermore, Realme claims that 240W charging would charge the phone from 1% to 100% in 9 and a half minutes, or from 1% to 50% in 4 minutes. There’s no information on how long it will take to charge the phone from zero to full.
Battery deterioration is one issue with the Realme GT Neo 5. According to the smartphone manufacturer, the battery loses 20% of its functional capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. Realme verified to Android Authority that the 1,600 cycle statistic was achieved while charging at 240W.

The phone is currently only available in China, with pricing beginning at CNY3,199 ($470) for the 16GB/256GB version & CNY3,499 ($515) for the 16GB/1TB model.
The Realme GT Neo 5 150W, on the other hand, begins at CNY2,499 ($368) for the basic 8/256GB option, CNY2,699 ($400) for the 12/256GB variation, and CNY2,899 ($427) for the top 16/256GB model.
