Set Up A Sequel To Tears Of The Kingdom?

Set Up A Sequel To Tears Of The Kingdom?

Both The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom as well as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild showed how popular the series is, so it’s possible that Nintendo could make a third game in this part of the Zelda brand to make a trio.

Both games were creative and added to the story of Hyrule Kingdom within different, but related, ways. They also gave players new ways to play to keep things interesting.

Even Link might find it hard to do all of that a third time within the same world along with the same story, so a sequel to Tears of the Kingdom doesn’t seem likely.

What comes after Tears of the Kingdom? There are a lot of games in the Zelda series, but there aren’t that many titles, so you could be interested in understanding where the newest game fits in.

Zelda games are known for their rich stories and lore, so it’s important for players to understand where The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fits in.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a single of the few titles in the series. It continues the story from Breath of the Wild, which came out in 2017.

Now that the story floodgate officially cracked does that indicate that Tears of the Kingdom will be followed by a sequel, or does the tale of the Champion of Hyrule come to an end?

Tears of the Kingdom takes place at the end of the storyline of The Legend of Zelda series, after all the other times have led to Ganondorf destroying Hyrule.

This means that the story could go on without getting in the way of anything that was already planned. But The Legend of Zelda games rarely worry about sticking to a tight timeline, so even though there were contradictions, it wouldn’t stop the creators.

Does Tears Of The Kingdom Lay The Groundwork For A Third Game?

Tears of the Kingdom possesses a few different ways to end. First, Link and Ganondorf meet swords. Then, Link or Princess Zelda collaborate in order to beat Ganondorf. Finally, Link and the Sages pay a final trip to the Sky Islands.

Notably, Tears of the Kingdom doesn’t end with a hook for a second book, nor does it set up a second book. At the end of the game, peace has been brought back to Hyrule, and Link and Zelda are joined through a new group of wise people.

This doesn’t mean that there won’t be a third game among the Breath of the Wild trio. The ending of Breath of the Wild didn’t hint at a sequel either, which is why it was such a surprise when Tears of the Kingdom came out.

Tears of the Kingdom was a huge financial hit when it came out, so it would be simple for Nintendo to bring Ganon back for a third game.

For a new bad guy to join his cause, or for an old bad guy from another The Legend of Zelda game, like Vaati, to come back and become the new enemy.

In the end, it’s up to Nintendo to decide if Tears of the Kingdom will get a sequel or not. Since the Switch has been out for so long, the company could choose to move on to a fresh title.

Super Mario Odyssey has shown that a game’s financial success doesn’t always mean that it will get paid add-ons or sequels. But Hyrule from Tears of the Kingdom still has room for a different Legend of Zelda game, even if a further narrative hasn’t been set up.

The End Of Tears Of The Kingdom Is A Good Stop:

Without giving away too much, the ending of Tears of the Kingdom was a very clear end to this story. Zelda remakes itself many times over in different timelines, so this probably won’t be the final time players see Link. However, there isn’t much chance of another BOTW game.

TOTK and BOTW have both proven to be great games, and many players will likely put them at the top of their picks of the best Zelda games, if not the best games ever.

Nintendo was able to not only bring back the magic of BOTW, but also make it even better with TOTK, which isn’t easy for a trio.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom probably won’t be the second game in a trilogy, but it does a good job of wrapping up the story and may allow Nintendo to move on to a new era in the future.
