- Rumors suggest Samsung Galaxy S9 may come with 8GB RAM
- Samsung has been consistently increasing RAM capacity in its smartphones during recent times
- Modular design may also be a reason behind this increased RAM capacity.
It seems that Samsung has some grand plans for the first quarter of next year. That’s the period when company will unveil Galaxy S9, its first flagship device for the year, and based on the rumors leaked till now it’s looking that Sammy is working on something that’s a significant departure from everything else revealed by the company till now.
We had already heard rumors of it coming with Snapdragon 845 SoC and a modular design, and now it has emerged that the device is going to come with highest RAM capacity of any smartphone launched till date.
That’s right – UpcomingSmartphone.net has said from citation of its highly trusted sources that Samsung is considering 8GB of RAM for Galaxy S9 to help it stand out from the crowd even more. The increased RAM capacity also makes sense because if S9 comes with modular design, some of the modules (i.e. camera lenses) may require high RAM capacity to work in most effective manner.
The site also suggests that Samsung has been increasing RAM capacity in the recent days to make its flagship devices more powerful. For example, a 6GB RAM version of Galaxy S8+ was launched post its global rollout to satisfy consumer demand. And just a few days ago we saw Galaxy Note 8 launching with 6GB of RAM. So if Galaxy S9 comes with 8GB of RAM, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.
Other features which are almost certain to make their appearance in Galaxy S9 include Snapdragon 845 processor, dual-lens camera and an Infinity display at least as large as 5.7 inches. We’ll come to know about other features as well in the coming days, and when that happens we’ll certainly let you know.
