- We got official press renders and full specs already for galaxy s8 active
Now only this was remaining – after a series of unofficial leaks, Geekbench listing and even a leak on official company website now Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has appeared on the site of AT&T as well.
The cellphone carrier just confirmed the device in some promotional material published on its site. And just like other such leaks while company has omitted the reference from its place, the rumor mill was quick to capture screenshots, which you can see below:
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Accidentally Confirmed by AT&T in Official Promotion
The company has been running a new promotion in which you get $500 off on a new Samsung TV if you switch to DirecTV and purchase a Galaxy S8 with AT&T Next payment plan.
While the heading on top of page talks only about “$500 off on a Samsung TV”, the FAQ section below said in answer to a question that Galaxy S8 Active buyers will be eligible for this offer as long as they buy their device with AT&T Next plan.
So it seems that Galaxy S8 Active launch isn’t too far now. However, just like all other leaks you should take this one too with a grain of salt. After all, nothing is official until the device is launched.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be the rugged version of company’s S8 flagship smartphone. As a result, it’s expected to continue with internals same as the ones found in original S8, but its design and material choice will be more rough and tough to make it a durable smartphone for adventurers.
The display will also not be the Infinity display and will be a normal one. However, other things will remain same – Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM, 4,000 mAh battery and may be camera as well.
