Pokémon Legends: Arceus: evolution system changes

A new Pokémon Legends leak: Arceus claims that the evolution system is going to be totally different from what we have known.

We’re just a few weeks away from the game’s slated January 28, 2022 release, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The Hisui region is set to change a lot of things compared to previous games in the franchise.

If a recent leak is to be believed, the Game Freak series of games could undergo its biggest change with the arrival of PLA. According to an inside source, Pokémon will no longer evolve based on their levels.

After long months of silence, Nintendo Japan released a 6-minute trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus on January 8th. In this video, fans were able to spot some pretty important details about the game, including the fact that Hericendre did not evolve even though he had passed the required level.

On social media, a popular internal source by the name of Kelios responded to the fans.

“They don’t evolve by passing levels but by completing tasks”

We don’t really know if he was just talking about PLA starters or if this mechanic will apply to all Pokémon in the game, but this is still an interesting piece of information.

“A Lv.15 Hericendre is shown in the trailer instead of a Feurisson”

It should still be kept in mind that this is not official information and that nothing has been confirmed about the developments. We advise you to wait a few more weeks before having Pokémon Legends: Arceus on your Nintendo Switch to be sure!
