Game console manufacturer Nintendo has issued a warning on when to turn off the Nintendo Switch game console.
You will find the current warning here on twitter:
The warning in translation:
Condensation may form on the game console if the temperature of the place where the game console is installed changes suddenly.
If condensation occurs, turn off the device and place in a warm room until the water drops dry.
For information on how to turn off the device, see this FAQ.
The corresponding FAQ entry can be found under this link. There, Nintendo explains how to turn off the Switch (press the power button for three seconds). This guide reads a bit strange, but apparently Nintendo assumes that many Switch owners never turn off their console, but always leave it on standby.
Hence the warning: Moisture in an electrical device can cause short circuits. That’s why Nintendo’s advice makes sense.
Reviews of the Nintendo Switch
We tested the Nintendo Switch immediately after it was released in 2017, you can find our test report here:
Nintendo Switch: test, equipment, price, release
From our at that time Test conclusion:
But what we can already say is that the manufacturer has implemented the concept with the various operating modes well and that the changeover is easy to do in practice.
The tested games are definitely fun and make good use of the possibilities of the switch so far. There is currently hardly anything to complain about, apart from the following points: If a single Joy-Con controller is used, then the control is quite unusual due to the small dimensions and the lavish key assignment.

Nintendo Switch OLED-Modell im Test
From our test conclusion:
The Switch (OLED) is the best version of the console. But it’s a harder upgrade as there are no performance improvements.
The OLED display is superb and is complemented by a new stand and small improvements. Basically, current Switch owners are not going to buy a new Switch OLED and stick with their Switch. But for new customers, buying a Switch OLED makes sense with the battery upgrade.
