Netflix has confirmed that it has launched the rollout of spatial audio on iPhone and iPad. Users will be able to watch their favorite programs while enjoying a more immersive sound.

Quoted by 9to5Mac, a spokesperson admitted that the platform had started to offer support on smartphones and tablets at the apple. Spatial audio complemented by dynamic head tracking gives the content you watch “Cinema-like surround sound quality”. So much so that you have the impression that “The sound comes from all directions”. “Using the gyroscope and accelerometer on your AirPods Pro and your iPhone, spatial audio tracks the movement of your head and that of your device, compares the movement data, and then remaps the sound field so that it stays anchored to your device even as your head moves ”, says Apple.
