- Other impressive of leaked specs of device include a 7-inch display
- Snapdragon 635 and with RAM options of 3GB and 4GB also leaked.
It seems that the mid-range smartphone market is once again going to be shaken in the midst of this year, and once again the player that may cause this thing to happen is going to be Xiaomi. The company has shown time and again how to destroy the competition by selling its super-impressive smartphones at highly aggressive prices. They’ve launched several smartphones with some truly unique features, and it seems that the company is once again on to something similar with its upcoming mid-range smartphone Mi Max 3.
Yep – it has been almost confirmed by some recent leaks that the successor of company’s Mi Max 2 mid-range smartphone (shown above) is under development, and some very promising details have come out of those leaks. The first among them is a render of device showing its back, which you can see below.
As you can see, there’s a trio of smartphones in 3 different colors with dual-lens camera on the back. But besides that a number of other things have also leaked about the device on Chinese social platform Weibo. It has been heard that the dual-camera setup appearing on the back of device will be a 12 megapixel one, and on the front there will be a 5 megapixel secondary camera. The device is likely to come with Snapdragon 635 processor, but this point is a little confusing because some time ago GSMArena had said in one of its reports that it will come with Snapdragon 660. So we probably need a few more leaks to be a little certain about this point. Other leaked details include memory configurations of 3GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage.
But the most exciting piece of info leaked about this device is its screen size. The leaked specs of device suggest that it may come with a 7-inch large display having 18:9 aspect ratio. If that happens, this will be the first smartphone in the world to come with a 7-inch display. Since bezels are getting narrower and narrower everyday, we hope that Xiaomi will be able to squeeze this large display into device without making the whole thing unmanageable. The current generation Mi Max 2 already comes with a 6.5-inch display, and since we’re talking about Mi Max 3, this rumor of such a large screen doesn’t seem completely weird.
Finally, the device is said to be powered by a massive 5,500 mAh battery and support QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging. Max 2 already comes with battery of 5,000 mAh, so once again neither of these things seems off the mark.
It will be very interesting to see what this smartphone looks and feels like. If it’s successful, like majority of other Xiaomi smartphones, the 7-inch screens may soon become common in the smartphone industry. This is a certainly device to watch out for!
