It often happens that, when a new version of an operating system is released in a stable version, bugs appear. And unfortunately, iOS 15 is no exception.
As a reminder, Apple started rolling out the successor to iOS 14 a few days ago. And now that this one is in the hands of users, some are reporting a storage memory bug.
Indeed, as reported by the Zdnet site, users have reported on Twitter that they receive a notification that the memory is full while there is still a lot of space available.
“Stop telling me my iPhone’s storage is almost full when it’s literally just over HALF!” I hate this iOS 15 update », writes for example this user.

Another user indicates that he already had this bug on the iOS 15 betas and that he continues to receive the message on the stable version, although the problem has already been reported.
In any case, if you are also affected by this problem, do nothing. As of this writing, there are no known tips to resolve the issue. And deleting apps or files would be pointless since the memory was not full anyway.
A new update is probably already planned to correct this bug
All you need to do is wait wisely for a patch from Apple which should arrive via an iOS 15.X update. Zdnet also indicates that an Apple advisor would have explained that he is aware of the problem and that for the moment, we can not do anything except wait for the arrival of a fix.
As a reminder, iOS 15 arrived on September 20 and is available for the following iPhones:
- iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
- iPhone 8 and 8 plus
- iPhone X
- iPhone XR
- iPhone XS et XS Max
- iPhone 11, 11 Pro et 11 Pro Max
- iPhone SE 2020
- iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
For Android users, it will be necessary to wait a little longer before the arrival of Android 12.
