How To Get Fragrant Jerky In Octopath Traveler 2

How To Get Fragrant Jerky In Octopath Traveler 2:

As you move through Octopath Traveler 2’s vast and varied worlds, you’ll meet all kinds of enemies, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Not only does defeating them give you experience and help you level up, but it also gives you useful drops that can help you on your journey.

In the world of Solistia, our friend Ochette has made it her job to make tasty snacks out of the hides of her enemies. Not every kind of jerky is the same, though. You need Aromatic Jerky to finish Pom’s side quest in the Tera chapter of Ochette’s book.

The man is hungry and won’t move until you give him something to eat. Here’s what you need to do to get this snack. At this point, you’ve probably figured out that Ochette is all about collecting jerky.

You can make jerky out of extra monsters, and you’ll need a lot of it to make friends with NPCs in towns. This is a mechanic that you don’t have to use, but it will eventually be needed to move Ochette’s story forward.

In Octopath Traveler 2, one of the most dangerous and important parts of Ochette’s journey is to locate Tera, one of the 3 Creatures of Legend. When Ochette first arrives in Crackridge, she isn’t sure that Tera, a volcanic creature with a past full of anger, lives under the ground.

What Animal Drops Smelly Jerky:

If you’ve gotten this far in the story, you probably already have some Aromatic Jerky. This tasty piece of meat came from a creature called Butter-meep, which you have probably already met and killed. Still, keep in mind that only Ochette can get this snack from a fallen beast.

If you haven’t been using Ochette in your main battle team, you may have missed great chances to get this tasty snack from enemy drops. Bring her with you when you go looking for Butter-meep to get the Aromatic Jerky.

You Can Find Butter-Meep:

In the Western Crack-ridge Wilds as well as the Southern Crack-ridge Wilds, Butter-meep can show up in random fights. I saw them during the day, but they should also be out at night.

The good news is that these monsters are easy to catch. My relatively low-level Ochette was able to catch all of them after only a few weak hits. Just cook up one of these monsters, and you’ll have the Aromatic Jerky you require.

Make sure the Scholar’s passive skill, Evasive Maneuvers, isn’t equipped. This will increase your chance of running into Butter-meep and make sure it appears sooner rather than later. You can also run faster in the Crack-ridge Wilds to meet more people.

Butter-meeps can be found at any time of day or night in the Western & Southern Crack-ridge Wilds. These creatures are easy to catch because even a low-level Ochette could indeed catch them all with just a few weak hits.

But if you can catch one of these animals, you’ll be swimming in Aromatic Jerky in no time. If you want to see this creature more often, take off the Scholar’s passive skill, “Evasive Maneuvers,” & run like the wind through the Crack-ridge Wilds. This will increase the chance that you’ll run into it.
