Currently, Google fans are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the next flagships of the Mountain View firm. But in addition to these two new smartphones, which mark a milestone in the evolution of the Pixel line, Google is also expected to launch other products this fall.
And obviously, the company is planning an event in a few days, not for the Pixel 6, but for these other products. This is what Mishaal Rahman, journalist for the XDA site, indicates.
“Google apparently has a press event scheduled for October 5 where they will announce new Nest, Maps and Travel products.”, indicates this one.
Google apparently has a press event scheduled for October 5th where they’ll announce new Nest, Maps, and Travel products. The original CNET article seems to have been pulled (broke embargo?) https://t.co/wfoImYt2xD but here’s an archive. pic.twitter.com/iyVW0oMCZN

The tweet is accompanied by a screenshot of an article on the subject that was reportedly published by the CNET site and then deleted. It is possible that this is information under embargo that would have been published too top. This article makes it clear that the new Pixel smartphones are not mentioned.
For now, of course, the info should be viewed with caution. Nevertheless, it is possible that the Mountain View firm will issue an invitation to the press very soon.
What about the Pixel 6?
Google has already revealed a lot of information about the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. We know that instead of using a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, these two smartphones will use a Tensor chip developed by Google. The design has already been unveiled, and we know there are significant improvements planned for the camera. In addition, these two models will have a more premium positioning compared to their predecessors.
As for the official presentation, unofficial sources suggest it will be on October 19. We can thus confirm the technical sheet and know all the characteristics of the Tensor chip used by the two smartphones (and compare the performance compared to the chips used by other high-end devices).
We will also know how much the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are going to cost. But in the meantime, unofficial information is also circulating on this subject. In Europe, there would be a version of the Pixel 6 at 649 euros and a version of the Pixel 6 Pro at 899 euros.
This October, Google should also finally start rolling out Android 12, which includes a major overhaul of the OS interface.
