We finally know more about the third installment of the saga from Harry Potter, in which Mads Mikkelsen will replace Johnny Depp, who had been ousted from the cast (by hitting a huge jackpot). The British-American fantasy film directed by David Yates, originally slated for release on July 15, 2022, will be the eleventh film in JK Rowling’s Wizarding World franchise. It will follow the film The Crimes of Grindelwald, released in 2018.
The third film in the saga has now a title and a new release date, Warner Bros. Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore is therefore the new official name of the film. Its release is scheduled in our theaters on April 15, 2022, three months earlier than expected.

David Yates is directing the film whose screenplay is co-written by JK Rowling and Steve Kloves. The film stars Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, William Nadylam, Katherine Waterston, Mads Mikkelsen and Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore.
The studio also revealed a official synopsis For the movie. The main plot of this episode takes place in Brazil and in particular in Rio de Janeiro, a priori in the 1930s. While Grindelwald is preparing to take control of the wizarding world, Dumbledore entrusts Norbert Dragonneau with the mission of directing a group of people able to slow down its supporters, who are more and more numerous.

Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore will therefore be released in theaters on 15 avril 2021. But know that David Yates does not intend to stop there. In fact, two other films are planned, for a total of five feature films.
