PES is now stored in the video game archives. And for good reason, it will soon be necessary to count on eFootball, the new free-to-play game from Konami whose release is fast approaching. We tell you everything.
The information was greeted with amazement by early PES fans. At the end of July, Konami revealed that it was abandoning its iconic football franchise in favor of eFootball. A free-to-play and cross-platform game that may allow him to find colors after many years spent in the shadow of FIFA. The title is in any case already arousing a lot of curiosity, which is a good start.
We already knew that eFootball was due to land in the fall. But the release date had not yet been revealed by the publisher. It is now done. A first version of eFootball will be available from September 30 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4, PS5 and PC. As was expected, the title will be embellished with new content over time.
A limited version of eFootball will land on September 30
Initially, players will have access to offline matches. They will be able to challenge the computer or a local friend. Nine clubs will notably be available: Juventus, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, CR Flamengo, CA River Plate, SC Corinthians Paulista, São Paulo FC. What’s more, you will be able to participate in online events and compete against players from the same ecosystem. For example, PS5 players will be able to play against PS4 players.
There will be no other content available on September 30. We will therefore have to wait until the arrival of a major update scheduled for this fall., on the sidelines of the release of the game on mobile. The classic mode of online matches as well as the Creative Teams mode – which allows you to shape your shock team – will be released at this time. A league called “eFootball Creative League” will also allow you to test your squad of footballers against opponents from all over the world.
The update will also introduce the eFootball monetization system. It will be possible to collect currency (GP and eFootball Points) in game. Or heat up the credit card to get eFootball Coins.
