Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Red introduces a kit to create its modes.
Mods are trendy on Cyberpunk 2077, which has prompted CD Projekt Red to release their own mod creation toolkit, three of which are available for download.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game for experimenting and implementing mods. Earlier this month, we told you about a mod that allowed you to play in the third person, a la The Witcher 3.Cyber.
A few days ago, we also told you about a mod that let you sleep with Keanu Reaves’ character, which is not possible in the base game. Two announcements were made very recently by CD Projekt Red regarding these mods.
The first, which is good news, is that CD Projekt offers its own toolkit for players who want to create their own mods.
For the moment, the kit is not very supplied because it contains only four elements, of which only three are downloadable at the moment: Metadata (29 MB), which is a necessary base for some of the tools related to the creation of mods, ArchiveDump (22 KB) which lists the game’s data archives, and finally TweakDump (64 KB) which lists the content of the game’s Tweak DB parameters.
Obviously, CD Projekt recommends that players read the terms of using these tools, which should see their number increase over time, not hinder any rule.
This brings us to the second announcement. The day’s bad news is that the mod that allowed having fun with Johnny Silverhand has been removed from the game.
The developers have specifically requested that players stop wanting to sleep with Keanu Reeves or his character in Cyberpunk 2077.
Indeed, they explain that “the exchange of appearances, especially those which involve explicit situations, can be hurtful for the people who have lent us their appearance to be able to create characters of the game.” Stay tuned for the next update.
