Breath of the Wild 2: what name and what story?
The real name of Breath of the Wild 2 is not yet known, and the leaks follow one another on this subject. Some hallway noises evoke the name The Legend of Zelda: Shadows of the Lost. The name of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Evil has also been spotted on the Internet. As for the story of the game, there too, the mystery remains unresolved. We do know, however, that it will be a direct suite at Breath of the Wild. Presumably, Ganondorf should once again be at the center of events.
Nintendo had said in the past that it would be “ much darker Than previous games in the franchise. Links with Majora’s Mask were mentioned in particular by the specialized press. Moreover and according to Kotaku, the game should have been just additional content from Breath of The Wild. A theory confirmed by Eiji Aonomua himself, the creator of the franchise.
Breath of the Wild 2: the only trailer revealed and its explanation
So far a single game trailer was released by Nintendo, to watch below. This trailer highlights Link and Zelda. Both descend into what looks like a donjon or a cave, filled with Gemmes Nox. Murals are present, with what looks like depictions of knights in archeonic armor. At the bottom of this cave, the duo fall in front of a mummified corpse surrounded by the dark energy which we call “swamp of resentment”: it is about this black and purplish substance which surrounds the ghosts of the Scourge Ganon and itself in Breath of the Wild.
This corpse looks like a Gerudo, and potentially to Ganondorf. It appears to be “under control” with the help of a ghostly and fluorescent hand, which unequivocally recalls Midona’s hand in Twilight Princess. This hand is also the same color as the Nox Gems. The editing then speeds up: we see Link as possessed by this hand and the mummified corpse in full awakening, before a plan on Hyrule comes to conclude this trailer.
Whatever happens, we will put continually updating this file to keep you up to date with the latest news on the sequel to Breath of the Wild.
