“Black Panther 2” might not be released in cinemas in France?

The release of “Black Panther 2” could well be compromised in France. And this, to fight against the chronology of the media.

Disney+ and Marvel have a grudge against the media timeline that reigns supreme in French cinema. This is how they plan to boycott France for the release of Black Panther 2. MCE TV explains everything from A to Z!

Black Panther 2: the wait is getting long

It is on February 14, 2018 that Black Panther comes out in dark rooms. Upon its release, the film had the effect of a bomb. And for good reason, it has nothing to do with the other Marvels.

It is one of the greatest successes at the global box office. It brought in no less than $1.3 billion in revenue for a production budget of $200 million.

In addition, in 2019, it becomes the first superhero film to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. No wonder fans are eagerly awaiting a sequel.

Thereby, Disney + and Marvel very quickly formalized a Black Panther 2. Filming has started during the year 2019.

It has therefore been more than three years since filming began. and more than four years that fans have been waiting for a sequel. But it won’t be long.

In fact, the output of Black Panther 2 is planned for November 9, 2022. However, there is bad news for the French.

Disney + and Marvel are considering boycotting French theaters for the release of Black Panther 2. And for a simple reason. They want to fight against the media chronology. MCE TV tells you more!

Disney+ and Marvel struggle with media timeline

Pour Black Panther 2, it could be that Disney zaps the cinema box in France. And that, because of the media chronology.

In effect, the platform seems to want to put their new film on Disney + quite quickly. Whereas in France, that’s not how it works.

And for proof, Prime Video or even Disney + must wait 17 months after the release of films in the cinema to be able to put it on the platform.

It wouldn’t be the first time that Disney has penalized France for its new media timeline. Earlier this year, we learned that his animated film, Avalonia, the strange journeyreleased straight to Disney+.

That said, by forgoing the cinema release, the platform deprives itself of a hell of a fortune. Remember that the first opus of Black Panther had attracted no less than 3.7 million spectators.

Furthermore, the first pictures of the second opus have been revealed and already promise very heavy. So, French fans have every reason to be disappointed with this news.

It remains to be seen if this will really happen on November 9, 2022.. Would Disney be ready to deprive itself of such a sum of money to Black Panther 2 ? For the moment, the platform has not formalized anything.

And if it does, will this become a standard for Disney+ productions Or Marvel? Many questions remain unanswered and will not be answered until November 2022. We will therefore have to be patient for a few more weeks.
