How to set up Apple Pay on iPhone?
Here’s how to add a new credit card to your iPhone and use it through Apple Pay.
- In the Maps app, tap the button Add at the top right and then sign in using Touch ID or Face ID.
- Touch Bank card then To continue. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new card. If prompted, choose your bank or card issuing institution from the list, or search for them using the search bar.
Then check your information with your bank or the institution that issued your card. They may ask you to provide additional information or download an app before approving your card to be used with Apple Pay. If you’ve paired an Apple Watch with your device, you have the option to add the card to it.
How to add a card for Apple Pay on your Mac or iPad?
Here’s how to add a new bank card to your Mac or iPad and use it through Apple Pay.
- Open them Settings from Cards on your device.
- On your Mac with a Touch ID system: go to System Preferences> Cards & Apple Pay
- On your iPad, go to Settings> Cards & Apple Pay.
- Touch Add Card, then follow the onscreen instructions to add it.

How to use Apple Pay on iPhone?
Apple Pay requires the Near Field Communication (NFC) antenna and Touch ID or Face ID on iPhone 6 and later. No matter what, every Apple Pay transaction must be authorized by Touch ID, Face ID, or your Apple password.
Once your iPhone is near the reader, you will feel a vibration or hear a ping to confirm payment. A receipt is saved in the Cards app so you can see what your most recent transactions are. You don’t need to open an app or wake up your iPhone screen to launch Apple Pay, no matter what model of iPhone you have.
How do I use Apple Pay with an Apple Watch?
To launch Apple Pay on your Apple Watch, double-click the button next to the digital crown. Your default payment card will appear on your Apple Watch screen. Hold your watch up to the payment terminal for a pulse and a beep to confirm that your payment has been made. Swipe right to left on your Apple Watch screen to show all of the other cards you’ve saved.
How to change your default card on Apple Pay?
To change your default card to Apple Pay, go to the Settings app on your iPhone and scroll to Cards & Apple Pay. On this screen you will see a list of parameters under the heading “Transaction Defaults”. This is where you can change your default map.
