after Better Call Saul, new spin-offs?

It is an understatement to say that she left the spectators in shock. The end of the first part of season 6 of Better Call Saul surprised everyone. Inevitably, the public awaits the conclusion of this series which resumes on July 11 and will end on August 15. She will mark the end of this spin-off set in the universe of Breaking Badwhich some consider even better than the original.

The creators of Breaking Bad don’t necessarily have any more stories to tell

It is therefore with a slight twinge in the heart that we will savor these last episodes. However, it is perhaps only a goodbye that we will make with these charismatic characters. Indeed, an interview with the channel’s program director AMC granted to Variety has very clearly just opened the door to other series derived from this universe.

The leader explains as follows:

I can assure you that we are doing everything in our power to encourage Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould to pursue this universe. I think you should ask them instead, but our door will always be open to them. I’m looking forward to the day when Vince, Peter or our friends at Sony will give me a call and say, “hey, I think we’ve come up with a new idea for a series in this universe”.

Therefore, all hopes seem well allowed but there is however a real limit. As our colleagues from Konbini, Rhea Seehorn, who plays Kim Wexker on screen, has been rather pessimistic in the past on the subject, although she herself is up for a spin-off. She explained to Deadline :

You know, Peter and Vince have always said publicly that there are more stories to tell, including Kim’s, and they are worth telling. But they also want to step away from the franchise for a while, and I understand that.

Only time will tell if the two men manage to find inspiration for a new project. In the meantime, we can follow these last episodes of season 6 of Better Call Saul on Netflix.
