On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Tamagotchi re-sprouts the tip of its nose. This time around, the famous virtual pet will make its comeback in the form of a connected watch.
Very popular in the 90s, Tamagotchi has not yet fallen into oblivion. To celebrate the 25 years of the toy’s existence with dignity, Bandai has just unveiled the new version of its digital pet. It is now nestled in a connected watch called Tamagotchi Smart. This will be notably embellished with voice commands that will allow you to wake up your cute little creature with the sound of your voice.
In addition, it will be possible to lavish caresses on him via the LCD touch screen. A good thing since your pet will be hungry for affection. Moreover, we will find the functionalities already present on the old models like the pedometer or the digital clock. It will also be possible to combine several Tamagotchi together. Which doesn’t spoil anything: the more the merrier, the more we laugh! Side autonomy, the device will be able to hold for 30 hours before sticking out the tongue. It can be recharged via USB.

Tamagotchi Smart: a release planned for the end of the year
What is more, the watch will have a speaker which will allow you to listen to music, we learn in the presentation video posted by the manufacturer (to be found below). Note also that the happy owners of this connected watch will be able to afford Tamasma cards at 8 euros per unit. These allow you to have access to themes, characters or even food to feed your little animal.
But what about its release date? The Tamagotchi Smart will be released on November 23 in Japan. We do not yet know if the toy will be available in our regions. To get it, you will have to get rid of around 57 euros. Interesting detail, a draw will allow little lucky to win the little connected toy. It will be possible to register from June 17 to July 2.
