After a successful Mi 6, Xiaomi seems set to bring Mi 6 Plus to the market.
Xiaomi has had a fantastic first half of this year. They started off with a white version of Mi MIX at CES 2017, then came up with Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 4X and a few different versions of both these devices. And in the end, they summed up the first half with Mi 6, which was their first flagship product for this year. Mi Max 2 was also launched during this duration, which also turned out to be quite successful. The result of all these smartphone launches came in form of 70 million smartphone shipments in the second quarter of 2017. Now in the second half of this year company seems all set to rewrite this success story with another new flagship smartphone dubbed Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus.
That’s right – the company has started teasing the launch, which is tomorrow on 11th of July. And if what we’re reading between the lines is true then this smartphone is going to be launched tomorrow. The company has teased the device itself with a promotional poster and a video detailing various features packed in it. However, the most highlighted feature in promotional material released till now is 6GB of RAM. Why Xiaomi is focusing primarily on this feature is unclear, but the poster released by company (which you can see above) is making a big deal out of it.
Besides this poster company has also released a teaser video of the device on its social accounts. The video suggests that this device to be launched tomorrow will come with a Snapdragon 800 series processor, UFS storage, DDR4 RAM and 3D glass body with a large display. A 4,000 mAh battery, 22mp primary camera and 4K video recording are other features detailed in the video. And yes – it also mentions about the presence of a Type-C USB port, QuickCharge 2.0 support, NFC and an IR blaster (which has become quite common in Xiaomi phones).
In a nutshell, we’re going to see a flagship Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus tomorrow, as a bigger display (probably 5.7-inch) and 3D glass body hint towards it. A bigger battery also points in the same direction, but it’s mainly the display and promotional material that’s strongly pointing towards it because 3D glass body is the standout feature of Mi 6.
Anyways, whatever it is it’ll see the light of day tomorrow. And when it happens, we’ll bring its details to you, so don’t forget to check HiTechWiki.
