The time till end of August belongs to Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Since the device is about to be launched next month (reportedly on August 23), the frequency of leaks about it has increased even more. And while until now we were coming across unofficial leaks only, now Samsung has also started teasing our interest.
That’s right – the latest leak about this hotly anticipated gadget is from the company itself. Samsung Exynos, the official Twitter account of company’s Exynos processors development team, just tweeted an image of Exynos 8895 with a phablet like device that we’ve not seen before. The device is certainly not Galaxy S8 or S8+, as you can see yourself as well, and is something else instead. What else it may be then? Galaxy Note 8 is an obvious possibility.

This possibility gets further amplified when compared against what we already know about the upcoming phablet from unofficial leaks. The device is expected to come with very narrow bezels on both top and bottom, and that’s how case makers are designing the cases of this thing. The device shown in image given above also shows the same narrow bezel on top. The display and form factor also seems larger than that of Galaxy S8, so it obviously hints towards a Galaxy Note 8.
However, it’s also possible that it’s just a render or graphic to accompany the processor as a placeholder, especially because there’s no button on the right edge of device shown in the image, which is quite weird.
But then comes another unofficial leak from noted leaker @Onleaks. The leak came from his Twitter handle yesterday when he tweeted an image showing the progression of Galaxy Note 8’s screen protector. You can see his tweet below:

The protector on back-right side seems to represent the final design of Galaxy Note 8. Now look on the top bezel, and compare the number of cutouts with that of cutouts in the image tweeted by Samsung yesterday.
Except for the 3rd left cutout shown in the back-right protector tweeted by @Onleaks pretty much every other cutout is present in the device tweeted by Samsung’s official handle.
So can it be Galaxy Note 8? There’s a good chance. However, we should take everything with a pinch of salt until the final device is revealed.
One more question that comes to mind after seeing these leaks is that for what reason there’re 6 different cutouts on the top bezel of Note 8 protector? An iris scanner, front-facing camera, speaker grille and an ambient lighting sensor are known already. But what are remaining two? Some new sensors? Seems quite exciting… the wait for August 23 becomes more difficult from this point!
