We know that Galaxy Note 8 is probably coming in August, and as that month is approaching the leaks related to this flagship phablet are also increasing. Now in another leak it has been revealed that this much awaited device may be Samsung’s most expensive smartphone till date. That’s right – some anonymous individual aware with Sammy’s plans has told Venturebeat that the device will be priced at €999, which when converted to Indian currency comes down to Rs. 72,000. So probably this is the next target of “kidney-selling” jokes after Apple’s iPhones!

Besides that the same insider has also told that Galaxy Note 8, though launched in August, will not be available before second half of September. It’s a little longer than expected, but still ahead of Apple’s iPhone 8 launch. This will be company’s first Galaxy Note device after last year’s Note 7 fiasco, so we expect it to be safer than its predecessor.

Rumors have suggested in past that Note 8 will come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 836 SoC, but now it has been heard that Samsung has decided to stick with 835 for now.

In some markets it may be launched with company’s own Snapdragon 835 equivalent Exynos 8895 as well. No change is expected in position of fingerprint sensor too, as recently it was learned that an under-screen sensor was causing brightness and security issues. But despite these minor setbacks the device will also have some standout features for sure, one of which is a dual-lens primary camera.

If this rumor turns out to be true then this will be first Samsung smartphone with a dual-camera setup on back. The feature was skipped in Galaxy S8, so this time we expect it to be delivered with Note 8. The camera setup is rumored to have two sensors of 12 megapixel each with optical image stabilization feature. The camera module is expected to be stacked horizontally like the one in iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5.

In terms of design language Galaxy Note 8 is expected to follow the philosophy of Galaxy S8, but with a bigger 6.2-inch AMOLED Infinity display.

Another major plus point of Galaxy Note 8 is that it’s likely to come with highest RAM capacity of any Samsung smartphone till date. The device is likely to have 6GB of RAM, which is 2 gigs more than that of Galaxy S8. Originally S8 was launched with 4GB of RAM and it’s only recently that company decided to launch a version of S8+ with 6GB RAM.

And of course, like every single Galaxy Note we can expect more improvements in split-screen multitasking and deeper integration of S Pen. DeX support is another rumored feature, which can allow the smartphone to be used as a full-fledged PC by attaching additional hardware like a monitor and keyboard. Color choices expected are Gold, Black and Blue.
